Royal Bank of Canada and CAE to sponsor junior ice hockey tournaments

The Royal Bank of Canada and CAE will provide financial support to help offset expenses incurred in hosting annual tournaments to be organised by volunteers with the Dubai Sandstorms.  Both tournaments will be held at Al Nasr Leisureleand.  This past weekend several players participated in an intensive 3-day hockey camp in an effort to hone their skills for the challenges ahead.  Four ice hockey professionals from the Canadian Ice Academy (Toronto, Canada) delivered the sessions. The CAE Ice Hockey Tournament will be held November 13-14 in Dubai and the Royal Bank Ice Hockey Tournament will be held February 12-13, 2004.  The tournaments will be open to the general public and no admission fees will be charged.  Sandstorm volunteers say they are hoping to bring in teams from Saudi Arabia and Finland this year, to compete at the junior level in the UAE for the first time.
